The NFM is a scholarly society open to all microbiology professionals in Norway, at all career stages. The NFM forms a professional network by organizing and supporting national and regional events related to microbiology, and by providing platforms for communication. The NFM aspires to be a central contact point for microbiology-related questions for academics and for the public in Norway. This related to scientific questions and explicitly also to microbiology education.
The working language is English, as the NFM explicitly wants to include international researchers working in Norway in its activities.
The NFM has a board that manages the activities in regular board meetings. Local board members are available as contact points at most major academic institutions with microbiology involvement in Norway. Contact a board member of your choice if you have any questions.
The NFM is registered in the Brønnøysund Register Centre: https://w2.brreg.no/enhet/sok/detalj.jsp?orgnr=915579701
